When I got up today morning and checked my phone, I had a message on the zeeronsolutions Skype account from a Sri Lanka expatriate client in Europe. He had sent the message asking about ideas to start some online business in Sri Lanka. I’ve been in contact with him for about 6 months now and he’s very keen in investing in Sri Lanka, maybe by starting up a online business here, which he can manage or invest in from Europe. His idea is to move here eventually when the business picks up.
I’ve had inquiries like this from my friends and family working abroad too. So I thought I’ll post the question here. If you have any ideas you’ll like to share about online business opportunities in Sri Lanka, please feel free to share them in the comments below. Your idea might not only help someone start a business but also help our country, by bringing in foreign investment and expatriate Sri Lankans back to our country.
I know sometimes we don’t like to share our ideas thinking someone else might steal it and we might loose. But you know, in the Internet and the business world, ideas are cheap! Execution is the key. Just think about it. If you are into a professional or a businessmen, you would have had lot of business ideas over the years. But how many of them did you work on or tried to do something about? We might have good business ideas or see opportunities today. But most often we don’t have the time, money or the interest to do something about those ideas and see them succeed. It’s a sad fact. Most often over time we forget those ideas. Or we just can’t work on most of the ideas we have for one reason or other and just give up. But if we share them with others?
Anyway, I sent my client, some links about some recent successful online businesses in Sri Lanka. You might find them interesting and who knows they might give you a business idea.
